Located a few steps from the historic center, near the Parioli district and the historic Piper disco, is the original Coppedè district, where different genres of different architecture merge. From Liberty to Art Decò, up to influences of Greek, Gothic, Baroque and even medieval art.
More than a real neighborhood, Coppedè is a delightful residential complex of 27 buildings and 17 villas, built by the architect Gino Coppedè in the first half of the twentieth century.
In the neighborhood, you can visit the Fountain of the Frogs in Piazza Mincio. Populated by 12 frogs and known for the bathroom that the Beatles took after a concert at the Piper.
Among the buildings, however, the most important are the Palazzina del Ragno, in Assyrian-Babylonian style and which is distinguished by a large spider on the facade, and the Villino delle Fate, famous for its asymmetrical structure and the mix of materials that make it up.
